4.MASJID ABIDIN, TERENGGANU

This mosque was built by Al-Marhum Sultan Zainal Abidin 2 between 1793-1808 years. The construction is from wood but during reign by Al-Marhum Sultan Umar, in 1852 the construction this build from wood replace with brick. Once again this building modified in 1901 during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin 3, This mosque enlarged to accommodate the pilgrims that more people everydays. Next, the stone pillars round also built  and 3 tower is raised. The privilegers of this mosque is have the art like engraving calligraphy, prayers and beautiful door. Beside that, this mosque also  have a unique pulpit. The beginning, this mosque do not have many pillars at middle side. Just have a dome has been made separate from wood, the roof made with diamond wood and have 6 pool. During the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin 3,this mouque was dilated like just now.

Before add the columns in the middle side, just have wall that made from cement. In 1881, Sultan Ahmad II Ibni the president Muda Tengku Mahmud has developed the dome this mosque to replace the old dome has been built during the reign of Sultan Umar. The one of ceremonial was held at 7:00 a.m o’clock, Saturday 1th Jamadil Akhir 1298H (1881M). The cannon release 16 shots to tell the people the dome this mosque ready to use.

3. BUKIT PUTERI, TERENGGANU

Princess Hill is located near by Shahbandar park at Kuala Terengganu that have the own story. Someone say this is the government place the princess of the elves that be place residents borrow the equipment to hold the events or ceremony likes spoon, knife and plate. However the princess leave that place because have someone do not return back the items, so the princess sulk and find another place to continue her life.

Princess Hill is located near by Shahbandar park at Kuala Terengganu that have the own story. Someone say this is the government place the princess of the elves that be place residents borrow the equipment to hold the events or ceremony likes spoon, knife and plate. However the princess leave that place because have someone do not return back the items, so the princess sulk and find another place to continue her life.

The lighthouse intended to guide ship at the sea to come Kuala Terengganu port. The height is 10 meters and more known as Tanda Kuala Negeri. Above of Princess Hill have the cemetery Pembesar Melayu among them  is Syed Yasir Aqil Muhammad’s grave was born in Sumatera, Indonesia. His family from the middle east and came to Terengganu married with Che Siti that son of the Sultan Zainal Abidin 1. Next is about the big bell that made during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin 2 in 1326H (1908M). This bell will used when disaster happen likes fire or enemy attack. Measurements that size is 228 sentimeters and the height is 78 sentimeters. It is made of yellow brass.

2. ISTANA MAZIAH, TERENGGANU

Maziah castle is beautiful building that have two floor. This castle be the epitome of greatness this state and the located near the Shahbandar garden and also the Payang market. The design of Maziah castle is heritage the grandeur that invaluable. This place held ceremonial of the coronation and official ceremony the state of Terengganu Darul Iman.

Among them is circumcision, piercing, the wedding and also celebration for main guest of the state. According of the history, this castle  established on the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin III. Construction this castle is to replace the Green castle that had burnt. The materials used for build this castle are mix of lime, clay, sand and salt, egg white and sweet treats. Almost 20 people involved to build Maziah castle.

This castle was build according the architecture of French be people proud of Terengganu because this place was happens a lot of events the glorious history of institution the roylal state of Terengganu in long time ago. This beautiful castle at near by Princess Hill have experienced a lot of changes according the time passage. But peculiarities this castle still reserved.

 1. MUZIUM LOSONG, TERENGGANU


Muzium Negeri Terengganu is the largest in the southeast asia. This place have the artifacts and works of art and is a legacy at the old days. The building is located on an area 27 hectares (60 acres) at Kampong Bukit Losong, Mukim Paloh, Kuala Terengganu. Among them was an area with peaceful and conducive natural garden, a white and open area and enough spaces. 


The design concept was inspired by his honourable Dato Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah based on three main considerations. Firstly, design about an old Malay house like concept design of “ Rumah Tele” or “ Rumah Bujang Berserambi”. The main criteria of this architect design was the front “ fascia” and crafted wall panel. This building was designed like a traditional house in villages. Secondly, the arrangement plan was decided which included 4 blocks.

In the museum have 9 galleries, among them is Natural History Gallery, Textile Gallery, Royal Gallery, Craft Gallery, Petroleum Gallery, Islamic Gallery, Historical Gallery, Seafaring&Trade Gallery, and Fisheries & Marine Gallery.

Then, exploration can be extended to the outside area of the museum the traditional houses of Terengganu malay, ships and traditional boat Terengganu. If feel tired, can go at museum cafĂ© that provides a variety of food and drinks.

HISTORY OF JAHAR PALACE AT KELANTAN




Istana Jahar located behind of Istana Balai Besar. This two palace is one of interesting place I Kota Bharu city. Istana Jahar was build when Sultan Muhammad II in her responsibility about the city (1837- 1886) which is after the opening of Kota Bharu city and after istana balai besar was build.
                 The purpose of Istana Jahar build is Sutan Muhammad II want to give it to hisr grandson who is named long Kundur Bendahara. But after Sultan Muhammad II died in 1886, throne of Kelantan’s city was replaceable to Long Sulong and ruling with Sultan Ahmad. At the same time Istana Jahar’s construction was continued until it done.
                In 1889, after 3years of Istana Jahar was done dibina. Sultan Ahmad died, and Sultan Muhammad II take responsibility and Sultan Muhammad III made Istana Jahar as a confidental place beside the Istana Balai Besar.
                When Sultan Muhammad IV as king, DBginda also renders Istana Balai Besar as the place for live and at the same time Istana Jahar still in used. This palace don’t have official name until in 1911 after sultan Muhammad IV come back from Singapore dan renovate this istana. And this istana name’s was taken by one of the spesies of flower around the istana yank. And than this istana was given to her son who is Tengku Ismail which is called Tengku Seri Indera Mahkta.
                After sultan Muhammad IV died in 1920, his son Tengku Ismail replace him and be Kelantan’s king his name is Sultan Ismail. Sultan Ismail did not live at istana Balai Besar but stay at Istana Jahar which is palace that his father build to him.
                Another sultan’s Kelantan like sultan Ibharim (1944-1960) and Sultan Yahya Petra (1961-1979) did not live at the same palace anymore but they have their own palace. Now Istana Jahar had turned into museum king of Kelantan. This museum keeps all of the history of sultan Kelantan form first sultan until the new one sultan.
This museum was divided to few part like weaponry part, traditional cloths and few other part is all thing related to sultans.  Istana Jahar located is behind Istana Balai Besar and in the center of Kelantan’s town.

HISTORICAL OF BANK PITIS  AT KELANTAN

Bank pitih is a old stonework which is in front of Istana Balai Besar Kota Bharu’ main door. This building was built when Sultan Ahmad III’ be a ruling (Long Kundur Bin Sultan Ahmad from 1889 to 1890). The main purpose this building is to be a place to keep ‘pitih-pitih’ which in kelantan dialect mean is money for that state expenses.
This building shape is rectangle with 12feet wide and 12 feet high. The doors make using ‘kayu cengal’ and with 3 safety lock with is made from metal.            With sultan Kelantan’s order, on 1903s Sultan Muhammad IV had send ‘pohon duit’ to Siam’s King or it now known as Thailand. On that time kelantan is one of the country that is being protected by Siam. ‘pohon duit’ is also known as ‘pohon pitis’. Based on kelantan’s dialect ’pohon is prefer to tree while pitis is refer to money. Based on Kelantan history they use pitis as their currency until 1920.            Pohon pitis which is from Kelantan is made from tin that contain 13 coins that use Chinese molds that been introduce by Chinese tradesman. On the surface of coins was written “ Thuriba Fi Zul-Hijjah Sanat 1321” which means months Of hijjah 1903 and on its back was written “ Belanjaan kerajaan Kelantan”. It is to confirm that it was official currency of kelantan’s kingdom.

HISTORICAL OF KAMPUNG LAUT MOUSQUE AT KELANTAN

Kampong Laut mosque was built by a group of missionaries who on their way to Malay Archipelago to spreading Islam religion here. But when their on the way, their ship was leaked and had to faced lots of problems before arrived at the destination, because the leaked become more worse their hope that the ship can docked safely. So the missionaries make a prayer and swear if them still save alive, them will build a mosque at the place them docked to remember all the memories and the incidents them had to face. Once their prayer was revealed at kampong Laut in Tumpat so the group of missionaries build the mosque like their say before docked. Their built mosque right after the ship docked. The original location of this mosque is at a village and near a river, but in 1966 kampung Laut faced a heavy flood which is make half of the mosque washed away from that disasters. After that the villagers make a decision to move the mosque to a save and far from the river. The decision was made to make sure and keep save the value and the history thing. At first, the mosque was completed with basic structure which is just have 4 poles and 3 level ‘rumbia’ leaves roofs. But the special about this mosque is when the missionaries want to build, them did not use a single nails and use a special technics called ‘tebuk pasak’ technics. In 1988 the mosque need to renovate and add more modern facility like electronic hosepipe, toilet, and more space to sit and rest also, the walls and pols are decorated by woodcarving, tiles roofs and now the width of the area is 13 times more bigger than the old mosque .Location of the mosque right now is at kampong Nilam Puri which is at Kota Kharu in Kelantan. The mosque is infront of Kampus Akademik Pengajian Islam University Malaya.
