1. MUZIUM LOSONG, TERENGGANU
Muzium Negeri Terengganu is the largest in the southeast asia.
This place have the artifacts and works of art and is a legacy at the old days.
The building is located on an area 27 hectares (60 acres) at Kampong Bukit
Losong, Mukim Paloh, Kuala Terengganu. Among them was an area with peaceful and
conducive natural garden, a white and open area and enough spaces.
The design
concept was inspired by his honourable Dato Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah based on
three main considerations. Firstly, design about an old Malay house like
concept design of “ Rumah Tele” or “ Rumah Bujang Berserambi”. The main criteria
of this architect design was the front “ fascia” and crafted wall panel. This
building was designed like a traditional house in villages. Secondly, the
arrangement plan was decided which included 4 blocks.
In the museum have 9 galleries, among them is Natural History Gallery, Textile Gallery, Royal Gallery, Craft Gallery, Petroleum Gallery, Islamic Gallery, Historical Gallery, Seafaring&Trade Gallery, and Fisheries & Marine Gallery.
Then, exploration can be extended to the
outside area of the museum the traditional houses of Terengganu malay, ships
and traditional boat Terengganu. If feel tired, can go at museum café that
provides a variety of food and drinks.
