HISTORY BANK KERAPU, AT KELANTAN

In 1992 this building was use as a memorial of World War II which is when Japanese soldier lending in Tanah Melayu. This building have and keep more than 1000 of thing and related to the war like picture, article, and artifact. This is also show photos of Sultan Ismail Petra as colonel of Royal Honor of Malaysia and history of relationship of Kelantan with Thai before Tanah melayu’s independence, and also about live of British people in Kelantan before and after war. In bank kerapu also have a bicycle that Japanese’s soldier always use when enter Kota Bharu’s city.

HISTORY OF WAKAR TUAN FERRER AT KELANTAN

Wakaf Tuan Farrer is a history monument at Pasir Putih, Kelantan. This monument located at roundabout Jalan Nara, Pasir Putih near to Ibrahim mosque which is the biggest mosque at Pasir Putih city. Wakaf in English is a rest pavilion and this is a place which build by village people to make sure traveler can rest there.

This wakaf was built in 1917- 1919 and the name was special as the acting advisor British in Kelantan which is Roland John Farrer.

In 2007 accident at Wakaf Tuan Ferrer made this wakaf totally damaged and cannot be use anymore. So MDPP and government agency rebuilt again this wakaf to keep this history’s building.

In 2010, this built was rebuilt again in the originals designs but this wakaf was rebuilt use concrete and different with the original structure which is use wood. But the original designs like use Alang wood and Kasa Jantan wood still in use.

History of Istana Balai Besar at Kelantan

          Istana Balai Besar is one of the palace located in Kota Bharu Kelantan, on 1844 Sultan Muhammad II had moved Kelantan govermant center from Kota Saba to Kota Bharu during moving proses he order to build a palace for him to live. Istana Balai Besar had been a place for a few Sultan to live starting from sultan Muhammad II (1839 -1886),sultaan ahmad( 1886-1889), Sultan Muhammd III(1890-1891) Sultan Mansur (1891-1900) and Sultan Muhammad IV (1900-1920).

          Istana Balai Islam is the special palace for descendants of Sultan Kelantan and here all of the official occasion happened and here also all the tradisional way of governor from 1845 until now. The first official ceremony is to celebrate “surat sejabat or too ack knowledge from Raja Siam to Sultan Muhammd. 

This latter contain Tuan Manik Mulut Merah approval as Sultan Muhammad II by Raja Maha Besar Siam and also as Kelantan’s leader. Raja Siam also called Sultan Kelantan as “Pia Lecha Kelantan”.

          As this palace be a place to king of Kelantan lives, lot of renovation had occur at this palace. The part of renovation is at façade of Istana Balai Besar and at front hall which is when Sultan Muhammad IV and Sultan Ismail be a king. However this renovation did not affecting the original real unique designs.

          This two floor palace be a place to a few ceremony like coronation, ceremonial ceremony and more ceremony had been happen here. Here also be a place to keep a few thing about traditions of melayu. And new ceremony happen here is coronation of Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra as Sultan Kelantan and called as Sultan Muhmmad V on 13 September of 2010.

          Even though, now this palace is not a place to king live anymore after Sultan Muhammad IV, but this palace still be a place to do king ceremony and royal customs until now.

6.BATU BERSURAT, TERENGGANU

            

In 1887, Batu Bersurat has been found at area of Padang Tara, at the side Tara river, in Buloh village, Kuala berang, Hulu Terengganu. Then, in 1902, this stone has been turn found by Saiyed Husein bin Ghulam Al-Bukhari as a businessman at the part the Kampung Buloh stairs that made as pedestal for wash the feet before go up the stairs. Then the stone has been broken on the side of it.

Saiyed Husin ask Penghulu Ali and village people to lifting and put it on a raft to brought to Kuala Terengganu. Reach in Terengganu, this stone present his majesty of Sultan Zainal Abidin 3 and then the stone placed the top of the Princess Hill. In 1992 deputy advisor English in Terengganu sir H.S. Peterson ask a photographer Japanese people N. Suzuki to take the photo and send to C.O. Bleyden to analysis.

This stone written in Malay with jawi script dated 702H. Writing on this stone explain Islam as official religion and the laws of Islam about the act of sin and false statements  and punishment according the status of a person.

In 1923, this stone has been sent to Singapore museum for borrowed. When the national museum in Kuala Lumpur completed, that stone has brought to Kuala Lumpur as a loan from Raffles Singapura.

In 12 February 1987, the state government of Terengganu wrote a letter to department of museum tell a desire to get back the Batu Bersurat to be the exhibits at the Terengganu state museum. In 1991, the cabinet of ministers have decided that Batu Bersurat returned to government of Terengganu.

In 6 July 1991, 9:30 a.m o’clock a ceremony of handing over back the Batu Bersurat to the state government of Terengganu has lasted in the agreement halls. 18^th floor, Wisma Darul Iman between the federal government represented by deputu secretary general of the ministry of culture, arts and tourism, sir Ismail bin Adam with state government of Terengganu to Y.A.B. Dato’ Seri Amar Di Raja Tan Sri Haji Wan Mokhtar bin Ahmad, chief minister of Terengganu.

 This stone as a reminder the malay-speaking that earliest found at Malaysia peninsular related with declaration of Islamic religion as official religion and Islamic law.

5.BUKIT KELEDANG, TERENGGANU

Bukit Keledang was located at Kuala Terengganu country and near by Tokong Tia Hou, Chinese village, Kuala Terengganu. The height and about 50 meters. This hill identified as area funeral of the royal and dignitaries of the state of Terengganu that earliest. Based of the Tuhfat Al-Nafis book that essay from Raja Ali Haji, The malay sultanate in state of Terengganu founded by Sultan Zainal Abidin 1 or known as Bendahara Padang Saujana. Trusted this history of sultanate this state was started since 1725.

                  Stairs to ride the Bukit Keledang

Bukit Keledang was be first site history of the malay sultanate in Terengganu because ever to be the center reign of the first Sultan Terengganu that is Sultan Zainal Abidin. He ever built a castle at this Bukit Keledang that identified as the old city. Sultan Zainal Abidin 1 was died in 1723 and remains of his majesty above this Bukit Keledang.

4.MASJID ABIDIN, TERENGGANU

This mosque was built by Al-Marhum Sultan Zainal Abidin 2 between 1793-1808 years. The construction is from wood but during reign by Al-Marhum Sultan Umar, in 1852 the construction this build from wood replace with brick. Once again this building modified in 1901 during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin 3, This mosque enlarged to accommodate the pilgrims that more people everydays. Next, the stone pillars round also built  and 3 tower is raised. The privilegers of this mosque is have the art like engraving calligraphy, prayers and beautiful door. Beside that, this mosque also  have a unique pulpit. The beginning, this mosque do not have many pillars at middle side. Just have a dome has been made separate from wood, the roof made with diamond wood and have 6 pool. During the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin 3,this mouque was dilated like just now.

Before add the columns in the middle side, just have wall that made from cement. In 1881, Sultan Ahmad II Ibni the president Muda Tengku Mahmud has developed the dome this mosque to replace the old dome has been built during the reign of Sultan Umar. The one of ceremonial was held at 7:00 a.m o’clock, Saturday 1th Jamadil Akhir 1298H (1881M). The cannon release 16 shots to tell the people the dome this mosque ready to use.

3. BUKIT PUTERI, TERENGGANU

Princess Hill is located near by Shahbandar park at Kuala Terengganu that have the own story. Someone say this is the government place the princess of the elves that be place residents borrow the equipment to hold the events or ceremony likes spoon, knife and plate. However the princess leave that place because have someone do not return back the items, so the princess sulk and find another place to continue her life.

Princess Hill is located near by Shahbandar park at Kuala Terengganu that have the own story. The lighthouse intended to guide ship at the sea to come Kuala Terengganu port. The height is 10 meters and more known as Tanda Kuala Negeri. Above of Princess Hill have the cemetery Pembesar Melayu among them  is Syed Yasir Aqil Muhammad’s grave was born in Sumatera, Indonesia. His family from the middle east and came to Terengganu married with Che Siti that son of the Sultan Zainal Abidin 1. Next is about the big bell that made during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin 2 in 1326H (1908M). This bell will used when disaster happen likes fire or enemy attack. Measurements that size is 228 sentimeters and the height is 78 sentimeters. It is made of yellow brass.
